Commission Structure & Session Stylist

I believe that a strong culture is essential to a thriving salon. A reputation for excellence is built with standards, and is essential to helping stylists grow. I can take care of the business side of things so you can focus on your craft.

At Queen of Swords we charge hourly rates. The service price list is gauged on the time it takes us to deliver the desired look. This creates a democratic pricing that is fair to stylist and client. You don’t need to survive on tips when you are being paid your worth.

What does it look like to work with us?

While I like to honor freedom as stylists, I am also serious about business & creating a stellar guest experience. As individuals and as a team, we are responsible for upholding the company’s values to support a strong culture.

Of course, I value education as leaders and learners. I am a part of major coaching program called Destroy The Hairdresser. Those tools are passed to the salon team, as well as hosting advanced education for technical skills.

You know what’s best for your career and I can trust you on that. Queen of Swords encourages stylists to have an actual life! This is great for those with families, freelancers, wanderlusts, or people who don’t like a set schedule.

Have a niche? I want you to be able to focus on that, rather than take services that aren’t in your wheelhouse or do not enjoy.

I believe that when you can focus your skills on certain services that fuel your passion, you become an expert quickly & can build your dream book of business!

You are free to roam!

Meaning, I have no problem with you working at multiple locations or being a freelancer. I know many salons may not share this polyamorous view yet, I believe that you should be able to work where you want rather than having to sign “Non Compete” agreements.

Giving you the freedom to choose what’s best for you & your clients. I never want you feeling trapped in our relationship.
